School ethos on PE and school sport

As P.E co-ordinators we would like to ensure that all pupils in our school receive high quality, motivating P.E lessons. We strive to allocate 2-3 hours of P.E for every pupil and encourage a wide range of sports to be taught within this time.

We aim to enrich our pupils’ experiences by providing a diverse mix of after school clubs, out of school activities and cross-curricular experiences.

Our aim is for all teachers to be achieving good, as a minimum in lesson observations and we provide training opportunities throughout the year to try and ensure this.

We will celebrate our pupils’ achievements and push them to achieve their best at all times. We will promote a competitive ethos within our school, whilst recognising the need to share opportunities all through the school.

We value our close link with the Erewash School Sports Partnership and strive to use the opportunities provided by them as a tool to achieve our vision.
